i love her brother, his voice is great. He can do the rougher tone and the softer stuf. It's extremely pleasing. Marco kicks ass too but i want this guy as the next phantom :) i think tarja'a voice might be going :(

It's not the same thing...this song belongs to Nightwish and forever will be, for me. The musicians are so good and so Tarja of course. I prefer Marco for the male voice btw =)

that's great, I saw her live in cologne and it was so awesome <3 I think she's great solo but she sounds like she's struggling with some notes (especially in the end where she shortens the higher notes extremely) ... her voice sounds a bit worn out ... or she had a sore throut or something :p no offence I think she's amazing, better than most singers, but I think she was better once

It`s quite senseless to debate on the issue who has the greater right to perform the old NW-songs. Unfortunately without Tarja Nightwish will never ever be able to perform the old songs the way they were meant to be and they were loved for. Phantom of the opera of course is very special. You will NEVER even hear this one again from NW. Although I admit Marco was the more suitable Phantom I love the fact that Tarja still performs this song and doesn`t let this masterpiece die. :-)

Please, don't be conceited with me, you don't understand what i want to say! I know the history of the novel and I saw the film...I'm talkin about the song with this arrangement,with this "type of sound"(I'm not referring to the song movie, I know very well that this is a cover). She sang this song with Nightwish and for these reason she should not sing this in her solo career for respect of her ex-friends and all the fan.
