I agree Rockchick80s - the man has always been a genius and inspired me to play 22 years ago after I saw the band at Glastonbury with the sun out. Still one of the greatest days of my life! If you haven't got too much of the newer stuff, try Too close to heaven. It is a set of tracks that were doen at the same time as Fisherman's Blues and is a fantastic but often overlooked album

At one stage, (around 1985/1986), according to some journalists, it was between this band and U2 as to who would become the 'biggest band in the world'.
U2 went on to release 'The Joshua Tree' in 1987, whereas The Waterboys released 'Fisherman's Blues' about a year after that.
