I am kinda surprised Phil couldn't lay those down there, its easy for me to say seeing the hands, but in hindsight Phil probably saw this and was like duh right? I mean, was it not 100% obvious the guy was acting? I dunno, Ivey is a sick player, but I think he should have seen that.

who considers ivey the best player in the world? Not the numbers cause eric lindgren is rated number 1 so far this year. Who considers how is this possible? Oh yah espn is payed by full tilt poker to sponsor them and who sponsors full tilt poker none other then phil ivey who is young and can draw a big crowd of younger people. They are blowing him up for money hes not the best player very average and rarely wins a tournament for the amount of tournaments hes in.

Flip here are some stats for you. Phil Ivey (5 WSOP bracelets, 29 money finishes(wsop), highest Main event finish 10th. World Poker Tour 1 title, 8 final tables, 9 money finishes(and when he made the money he was at the final table 8 out of those 9 times) Plays in the "big game" regularly, I am sure you dont know what it is. Plus while he played for "the corporation" he won 16,000,000 against billionaire andy beal. Lindgren is a world class player but he is not better than Ivey look it up!!!!!!!

Ivey doesn't play as much tournaments anymore because he now concentrates more in cash games. When he used to play a lot in 2005 he was #1 overall in Bluffmagazine. I can tell you're a poker rookie since you're counting only WSOP ranks as best overall. Lindgren was #1 in WSOP, but overall John Phan is the player of the year. And yes, right now Ivey is considered top by most pros, including Lindgren. Whatever he concentrated on he was the best, and now he's a consistent winner at the big game.

In Iveys mind, the ace of club can of course pop off. Thats one of the card he would like the least to come on the river, because it makes it harder for hes opponent to get more of his chips in. That is what the announcer is trying to tell.

He plays every hand the same, making him very hard to read. Plus, he always bet the right amount of money to get the most out of his opponents without scaring them. Hope this helped !
