Each summer, for nine weeks, 750 young musicians attend the School from throughout the United States and the world. Musicians of all ages learn from their instructors not only in the classroom, but also as they perform side-by-side with them in the Aspen Festival Orchestra and the Aspen Chamber Symphony.

I studied piano with Edith Oppens in '56. Izler Solomon conducted the orchestra; Ian Behr the choir; Rosina Levine, Walter Trampler and Darius Milhaud were among the illustrious names that year along with other renowed performers. Would love to hear comments from Mz. Mordecai, Kappy Pence, Mr. Syacuse, Leslie Parnas, et al. Clementina Filosa
