In addition to the powder padding, they are landing on a downward slope, so some percentage of the downward force is displaced horizontally. It is still absurd though.

the snow at jamie's drop was about 6metres (18-20ft?!).. the cliff is 82metres (or 89m? doesnt matter) high.
he did everything right: landing on the back and in deep powder.. but its still insane ;)
btw: the first one is inverted.. if i would do that the snow round me would be yellow in no time ^^

This is just jumping using skis to get you cleared this is not skiing its just free falling if you can't land it you can't do it unfortunatly still pretty crazy its just not "SKI" jumping its just jumping since after the jump theres no skiing at all involved
